Fleurette Wood
Fleurette D. (Flo) Wood, 75, of Duquesne died Tuesday May 28, in UPMC McKeesport. A member of St.Joseph Church and the American Croatian Club of Duquesne. She was a former member and officer of the Ladies of the Moose in Duquesne and a former den mother and scout leader.
Born May 16, 1927, in Pawtucket, RI, she was a daughter of the late Jean and Cecile Laurendau Bessette and the wife of the late Walter A. Wood. She is survived by children Barbara J. Fulton and Paul A. Wood of Duquesne, two grandchildren,and six great grandchildren,brother Roland Bessette of Cumberland,RI: and sisters, Jeannette Sassi, Elizabeth LaPointe and Lilliane Murphy of Pawtucket, RI., Theresa Absi of Fitchburg Mass., and Marguerite Rinsldi of Coventry, RI.
Friends will be received tomorrow and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home Inc., Duquesne. A blessing will be offered there Saturday at 9 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Dennis Colamarino as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
