Myrtle Schell
Mrs. Myrtle Adele (Bessette) Schell of Peachtree City, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004. Mrs. Schell was born in Rugby, North Dakota on May 20, 1915, to Ella A. (Larson) Bessette and Roger Bessette. She was reared in Rugby and attended and graduated from the local schools there. In 1936, she married Joe Schell of Rugby. Mrytle retired as the head dietician of various hospitals in Southern California in 1977, before returning to Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she had previously lived from 1955 through 1959. She remained ther ten more years until 1987, when she and her husband moved to Peachtree City, Georgia. Being a stay at home mom and wife while rearing her two children, flower gardening, decorating, traveling and cooking were pursuits that brought her much joy and pleasure. Myrtle had a special verve about living life to it's fullest and she embraced each day as a special gift given to her. She spread optimism and encouragement to all around her. She is survived by a daughter, Catt (Schell) Kirkpatrick and her husband, Jerry Kirkpatrick; and a son, Tarey Schell and his wife, Priscilla. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband of sixty years, Joe, two sisters, Mildred Dease and Anna Kuehn of North Dakota; and one brother, Howard Bessette. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 5, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 PM.
