Richard Louise Lefebvre
1930 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Richard Louis Lefebvre, 83, of 41 Taft St., died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a sudden illness. He was born in North Adams on June 30, 1930, a son of Joseph and Rachel (Bessette) Lefebvre. He graduated from the Holy Family School and graduated with the class of 1949 at Drury High School. He was proud and decorated veteran of the United States Air Force <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/air-force/?personid=165872148&affiliateID=1231>, serving as a sergeant during the Korean Conflict <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/korean-war/?personid=165872148&affiliateID=1231>. Mr. Lefebvre was employed for many years in the quality control department at General Photo in Williamstown. He was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church in North Adams and later at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. He was a member of the Clarksburg VFW <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/vfw/?personid=165872148&affiliateID=1231> and the Williamstown American Legion. He took great pride in maintaining his yard and home and enjoyed spending time with family. He loved watching his children and grandchildren participating in their many activities and was often seen at their sporting events throughout the area. Survivors include his wife, Joan (St.Cyr) Lefebvre, whom he married May 12, 1956, in St. Francis Church; three daughters Lisa Armstrong and her significant other, Chip Gardner, of North Adams, Leslie McConnell and her husband, Gary, of Virginia, and Patrice Maynard and her husband, Jay, of Lanesborough; three sons Richard G. Lefebvre and his wife, Diane, of Clarksburg, Daniel J. Lefebvre and his significant other, Marilyn of North Adams and Jon P. Lefebvre and his fiancee, Susan of Rhode Island; nine grandchildren, Nick and Ben Randall, Seth, Allyson and Lindsay Maynard, Matthew, Tyler and Chelsea Lefebvre and Kayla Armstrong. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St.'s Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial with military honors will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at church.
