- Frank Joseph Bassett, son of Paul and Clara (Lacroix) Bessette, was born about 1903 in Massachusetts. He married Edith Anna English, daughter of Philip and Anna (Cressdolf) English, on 25 Feb 1924 in North Adams, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
From a letter written in 1924, he was a mule spinner living at 33 Protection Avenue in North Adams, Massachusetts. She was a speeder tender.

Frank Bassette, native of Adams
Frank Joseph Bassette, 74, of 180 Bracewell Ave., a native of Adams, died Friday evening at his home.
Mr. Bassette was born June 23, 1902, a son of the late Paul and Clara B. (LaCroux) Bassette, and attended Adams schools. He was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked as a laborer at the Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates Greylock Division. He was a member of Notre Dame Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Edith English; four sons, Lawrence and Francis of North Adams, Ralph of Fontana, Calif.; and Phillip Bassette of East Pepperell; a daughter, Shirley McLean of Easthampton; two sisters, Roma Bassette and Mrs. Wilfred Shartrand, and a brother, Leo Bassetts, all of North Adams; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at 9 a.m. today with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Notre Dame Church. Burial was in the family lot in Southview Cemetery.
The San Soucie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
