Gunn-Christian
The bridegroom's brother and sister- in-law Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gunn came from Brisbane by plane to be present at the wedding of Miss Gwen Christian to Sergeant Ewan Gunn H.Q. Squadron I Armoured Brigade, A.I.F. at St Mark's Church, Darling Point, yesterday afternoon.
The bride who is the youngest daughter of the late Mr. A. E. Christian and of Mrs. Christian of Collaroy was given away by her uncle Mr. Bassett Christian. She wore a white crepe gown and a veil of Honiton lace, and she carried white lilac. She added a diamond brooch lent by her mother.
Her sister Miss Nancy Christian the only bridesmaid wore an off-white crepe romaine flock with a Baku halo hat and carried white lilac. Sergeant Paddy McFarlane A.I.F. attended the bridegroom who is the younger son of the late Mr. S. B. Gunn and of Mrs. Gunn of Double Bay. Canon H. W. A. Barder officiated. A reception was held at Royal Sydney Golf Club, Rose Bay.
The bridegroom will shortly be transferred to Victoria to attend an armoured Division school and the bride will stay in Melbourne to be near him.
