The family of Pam Munro wish to announce her passing at the age of 89 years. Pam is survived by her son, Ken (Sharon), her daughters, Susan (Jeff) Walker and Sandy (Frank) Cipriani and her son-in- law Ervin, 11 grandchildren - Tracy, Marcy, Erin, Megan, Kirsten, Julie, Jared, Ashley, Jessica, Jason and Lindsay, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pam was predeceased by George, her husband of 47 years, and their children Marion and Jim. She was a member of the Rebekahs and a lifelong Conservative, receiving Christmas cards from John and Olive Diefenbaker. Pam and George loved to travel, especially heading out in their motor home with their little dog Koko to spend winters in Mesa, AZ. Summers were often spent at the Trapp cabin at Lac duBonnet, MB. Several years of their marriage had been spent moving from their first home in Prince Albert to Edmonton, Winnipeg and Vancouver so Pam was happy to finally settle in Calgary and soon found many good friends to join them in camping weekends, card games and bingo. After she became a widow, Pam started a new life by selling her home and buying a condo, where she got involved in the social life of the building. She was a regular at Happy Hour, organized a weekly bingo night and loved going on all the day trips organized for the residents. But she was happiest when surrounded by her family and enjoying good food and the company of the people she loved. The family would like to thank the staff at Bow View Manor for their compassionate care. There will be a memorial service held for Pamela at Eden Brook Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.edenbrookcemetery.ca. Arrangements entrusted to EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE.
