Robert W. Bassett
Robert W. Bassett, 78, of 1748 73d St., formerly for 52 years with the Western Union Telegraph Company, died today at his home after an illness of five months. He was born in Charleston, S.C., and resided in Brooklyn for 50 years. He was a member of Mistletoe Lodge, 647, F.& A.M., and the Association of Western Union Employes. His wife, Anne Schroeder Bassett, and a daughter, Avis, survive him. Services will be held at Waldeckâs Funeral Chapel, 7614 4th Ave., at 8 p.m., tomorrow.
