    • Mary was living in 1925.

      At 16, Mary organized the first primary department of the South Church
      Sunday School, New Britain. As teacher, editor and author she has made good.
      She wrote "A Regular Tomboy" describing her own life on and around the old
      farm. She was active in the Woman's Educational Movements and was the first
      woman member of the Board of Education in Philadelphia. She was an early
      president of the New Century Club there.
