The deceased had always lived in this neighborhood and had lived to a ripe old age, being over 80 at the time of his death. Mr. Bassett had two sons one of whom, James R. Bassett, is well remembered in this place. Funeral services conducted by Rev. W.C. Byer, of Unadilla Forks, where held last Wednesday.
