  Notes	Grant County Obituaries Gertrude Elizabeth Bassett Bassett: Gertrude Elizabeth Bassett, 88 died Thursday evening in Silver City. Mrs. Bassett was born in Gainesville, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Grant County. She was a communicant of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mrs. Bassett is survived by one daughter, Mary Walden of Fairfax, Va.; one son, Ira Bassett of Silver City; three step-brothers, George Gaylord of Silver City, Paul Gaylord of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Russell Wilson of Apache Junction, Ari.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Memory Lane Cemetery wi Monsignor A. James Milano officiating. Interment will follow. Visitations will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Curtis-Bright Funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Curtis-Bright Funeral Home.
