  Notes	From a Kansas Query by Judy Adams, 1997 I am researching my mother's line, Bassett. Two Bassett brothers settled in Hiawatha with their families sometime in the 1870s. One w great-grandfather, he moved to Colorado around 1906, but I believe his brother remained. The brothers were Marceleon Cornelius Bassett, b. 24 Aug 1844 CT, Dwight E. Bassett b. 17 Apr 1839 CT. They were were Civil war veterans from CT.
