He was a retired minister and a retired heavy equipment operator for the Florida Turnpike Authority. He was a member and former pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, Yeehaw Junction. He was a United States Army veteran. Survivors: wife, Bettie A.; daughters, Cheryl O. Parrott and Claudia L. Arnold, both of Okeechobee; sons, Larry W. and Timothy J., both of Okeechobee; sisters, Tonnie Lea, Kenansville, Ealon Baker, Hamilton, Ohio; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
