Glen J. Bass, 82
Basinger - Glenn J. Bass died April 24, 2018. He was born March 20, 1936 in Basinger to the late Oscar and Zona (Durrance) Bass. A lifelong resident of Basinger, he was a member of the Basinger Christian Brethren Church and the Cattlemen’s Association. He enjoyed listening to Bluegrass, watching Westerns, fishing, and caring for horses. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Elwyn Bass. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Bass; sons, Keith Bass (Ross) and Jeff Bass (Teresa); brother, J.C. Bass (Joanne); sister, Elda Mae Bass; grandsons, William Bass and C.J. Bass (Holly), all of Okeechobee; and great grandchildren, Aubreigh and Augustus. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Basinger Christian Brethren Church with Pastor Monroe Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Basinger Cemetery.
