Doris Bass Blackburn
FT. MYERS - Doris Bass Blackburn, 86, of Fort Myers, was born May 5, 1923, in Dothan, Ala.
Doris is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jake Blackburn; daughters, Jo Fain, and Joy Hart (Larry). Doris was predeceased by their son, Tyrone and his wife Faye.
Doris is also survived by eight grandchildren, Tammie, Shelly (Jimmy), Jimmy (Ann-Elizabeth), Ty (Virginia) Fletcher, Suzanne (Jason), Rick, Bill (Dawn). Additionally, Doris was so proud of her 19 great-grandchildren, with number 20 on the way. She leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Doris lived in both Ft. Myers and Immokalee, where she has many cherished family and friends. She worked at the First Bank of Immokalee for many years, and most recently served as Chairman of the Board for Collier Health Services.
During her courageous battle with cancer, she was blessed by the loving care given by Drs.
Dunbar and Mantz, and the staff of Hope Hospice.

The services, officiated by Gray Foshee, will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
