He was born on Sept. 28, 1923, in Clemscot, Okla., to Lonn Juett and Anna Mae (Robinson) Bass. On Dec. 21, 1947, he married Anna Marie Stuteville of Durant, Okla. John was a decorated Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Anna Bass of McKinney; sons John Michael Bass of McKinney and Joe Randall Bass of Dallas; daughter, Barbara Anne Hall of Russellville, Ark.; five grandchildren, Shane Hall, Matthew Hall, Joline Bass Wehrmann, Julie Bass and Sarah Bass; brother, Jim Bass; and sisters, Betty Shelley of Arizona and Melba Patrick of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister. A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen.
