  Notes	Arizona State Miner, Wickenburg, AZ Saturday, September 27, 29124 Edith Bass Lauzon Mrs, Edith Bass Lauzon, the daughter of our townsman W W Bass, pioneer guide of the Grand Canyon, died at St Joseph's hospital in Phoenix on Sunday. She was supposed to be well on the road to recovery from heart failure, but a sudden turn brought the end in a few hours. W W Bass, who has made his winter home at Wickenburg for several winters, is the recipient of many condolences from Wickenburg and other Arizona friends who have known him for 40 years and over. Deceased was 28 years old and is survived by her father and mother, her husband and three children. Mrs, Lauzon was known as one of the best horse women of the northern part of the state and was raised in the Grand Canyon region, where her father was widely known as a guide. She was the first white child to go down the Bass trail into the canyon and when she grew older became a guide conducting tourist parties over the Bass trail. She was well known here.
