Surviving are his wife, Jeanie; a son, Chad of Bryan; three daughters, Jody Bassett of Defiance, Deb Vollmer of Hicksville and Lisa Wilson of Archbold; three grandchildren; three brothers, Lee and Virgil, both of Hicksville, and Rex of Mark Center; and four sisters, Lois Humbarger of Spencerville, Ind., Jean Switzer of Monroeville, Ind., Doris Ridgeway of Hicksville and Alice Karnes of Edgerton. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. EDT (9 a.m. Fort Wayne time) Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hicksville. Calling after 2 p.m. EDT Friday and after 8 a.m. EDT Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Prayer services at 8 p.m. EDT Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.
