Robert Alan Bass
KILGORE ? Services for Robert Alan "Robby" Bass, 31 of Hallsville will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church of Longview with Reverend Nick Setzer and Reverend Mia Levetan officiating. Mr. Bass unexpectedly died Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
He was born March 25, 1986 in Kilgore to Karl and Kellie Phillips Bass. Robby was a 2004 graduate of Kilgore High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics and his master's degree in economics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Robby was a professional poker player. He loved sports, especially football and hockey. He was passionate about his family, particularly his nieces and nephew.
Robby is survived by his parents, Karl and Kellie Phillips Bass of Hallsville; his sister, Rikki Sandvik and her husband, Scott of Hallsville; a brother, Randy Bass and his wife, Mary of Prosper, Texas; a grandmother, Elizabeth Bass of Hallsville; aunts and uncles, Donna Phillips of Tyler, Larry Phillips of Tyler, Susan Bass of Kilgore, Bobby Bass of Kilgore, Ann Phillips of Liberty City; two nieces, Annika Sandvik and Erika Sandvik; a nephew, Brodie Sandvik; numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his cousin, Josh Riddles; his grandparents, Bill and Bonnie Phillips, Jack Bass and Linda Sparkman Adams; and uncle Ian Bass.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Monday evening between 6:00-7:30 pm.
