Hazel Bass Tyndall
Mrs. Hazel Bass Tyndall, 91, of Wrench Rd. Dunn died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Betsy Johnson Hospital. She was born June 19, 1925 in Sampson Co. daughter of the late Allen and Virginia Susan Jackson Bass and was also preceded in death by brothers, Percy, Ellis, Merless, Tilton and Bernice Bass.
Hazel was a member of Mingo Baptist Church and had worked at Devil Dog in Newton Grove and PT Apparel in Dunn as a seamstress.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mingo Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Carroll and husband Roger of Dunn, sons, Jackie Tyndall and wife Ann of Clinton and Jimmy R. Tyndall and wife Vivian of Dunn, brother, Milton Bass of Dunn, grandchildren, Tammy Carroll, Ginger Carroll (Gary), Dwight Tyndall and wife Sabra, Christie Jackson and husband Ollen, Beth Gainey and husband Chris, Jennifer Jackson and husband Noah, Amanda Godwin and husband Kevin, Jimmy Allen Tyndall, great grandchildren, Taylor Carroll, Brett Jackson, Houston Jackson, Hunter Gainey, Christian Gainey, Kash Jackson, Quinn Jackson, Brynna Godwin and Bryce Godwin.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn and at other times at the home of Roger & Jean Carroll.
