Robert Clarence Bass, 58, of 1205 Covington Rd., Colonial Heights, died Thursday, May 17, 1979 in Petersburg General Hospital. He was a native of Crewe, Va., and a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Petersburg. He was a retired highway engineer for the Va. Dept of Highways and a member of the Crewe Masonic Lodge NO. 123 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Josephine Claiborne Bass; his daughter, Mrs. George E. Rambo of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Robert Earle and Susan Rambo; a sister, Mrs. Randolph Mann of Colonial Heights. Remains rest at E. Alvin Small Funeral Haome, Colonial Heights, where services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favoritre charity.
