Daughter of Sampson Bass and Ann Rogers
We are indeed sorry to tell of the death of our darling mother, Mrs. James K. Yarbrough, of the mills, also of Marshfield, Route 2, who passed into the great beyond last Monday afternoon after a long and lingering illness. Everything that loving hands could do was sone to help Grandma, as she steadily and surely neared death's door, but we all have to succumb to the great parting of the way, which indeed was hard to do. Funeral services for her were held this Tuesday afternoon in the Bassville Baptist church of which she was a member. Burial was in the cemetery there. It was a calm May day when God said to mother dear, Come away, thou faithful one, your labors here are done. Come live in heaven, your blessed home, while I make ready for your husband dear to come. Yes, and children, too, time for them will soon be through, and we sill strike glad hands again with mother dear in that blessed home Over There. Where the hand of death never knocks on heaven's door, and where we'll never, never grow old. Grandma leaves to mourn her death, seven sons and one daughter, and a number of grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Let us be resigned to God's blessed will and all will come right some blessed sweet day in the far distant future.
