      Elmond Bass, Employe of Paint Firm 35 Years

      Elmond E. Bass, 65, manager of the Bethesda store of the Sherwin-Williams Co., died Friday at Suburban Hospital of a heart ailment.
      A native of Richmond, he had been an employe of the paint firm for more than 35 years. He came to the Washington area 13 years ago from Baltimore.
      Mr. Bass, who made his home at 5902 Ipswich road, Bethesda, was a past president of the Bethesda Chamber of Commerce and the Bethesda Civitan Club.
      He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jessie J. Bass, and three daughters, Mrs. Lewis G. Long of New Castle, Pa., Mrs. Wilson M. Southard of Winchester, Va., and Mrs. Kenneth D. Phillips, of Round Bay, Md.
      Funeral services were held at the Robert A. Pumphrey funeral home in Bethesda yesterday. Burial was in Parklawn Cemetery.
