Mrs. Julia Newsom, Greenwood, Dies
Funeral and Burial Set Monday Afternoon
Greenwood, April 24 - Five sisters who had lived together for years in the family home at 415 West Main Street were separated today in death.
Mrs. Julia B. Newsom, age 72, succumbed at 1:50 o'clock Saturday morning at the residence following an extended illness.
The body was taken to the J.C. Wilson Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock (daylight saving time) by the Rev. Kenneth J. Forbes, pastor of the Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the mortuary Saturday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock, and Sunday from 2 until 6 p.m.
A member of the Methodist Church, Mrs. Newsom is survived by four sisters, the Misses Alice, Kate, Jess and Margaretta Bass; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Ball, of Greenwood, and Mrs. Margaretta Woods, of Berkeley, Calif.; and one son, Mark Newsom, of Trenton, N.J.
