Patricia Bassett
Patricia E. Bassett (Butler), 76, passed away on Thursday, March14, 2024 at her home in Easton, MA after a long-term illness. Born on December 6th,1947 in Brockton, MA, Patty grew up with a strong value that family always comes first. She made lasting relationships through her work as a radiology technician at Cardinal Cushing General Hospital and later performed mammograms at Harvard Vanguard. She loved reading, watching movies, and spending time at the beach and on the ski slopes with her family over the years.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Geoffrey W. Bassett Sr. daughter, Kathleen Young and husband, Gary, along with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Shannon, Bryan, Jeffrey, and Christopher Young, Tyler Geoffrey and his husband Daniel (Stevenson), and infant daughter, Maria. Patricia was predeceased by her son, Geoffrey W. Bassett Jr., her parents, Edward P. and Shirley M. Butler, her in-laws, William G. and Tufelia Bassett, her brother Edward P. Butler, Jr., sister, Donna M Holmgren.
She also leaves her brother Jerald, and his wife Geraldine, brother Robert, and wife Gail, sister Janet. Buckley and husband Donald, along with many nieces, nephews, their families, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.
