  Notes	Kingsport Times, Tennessee, Wednesday, December 23, 1953 Mrs. Newton Bass Mrs. Newton Bass, 74, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at her home on Bloomingdale Road after a lingering illness. She had lived in Kingsport for 23 years, and was a member of the Lynn Garden Holiness Church. Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. W.G. Clevenger, Mrs. Frank Monroe and Mrs. H.C. Forbes, all of Kingsport, and Mrs. J.F. Price of Baltimore, Md.; five sons, John W., Thomas S. Franklin, Jessie and Wade Bass, all of Kingsport; one sisters, Mrs. Annie Skelton of Kingsport; six brothers, George, Alex, and E.M. Boyd of Church Hill, Bob Boyd, Appalachia, Alfred Boyd, Dante, and Hugh Kyle Boyd of Kingsport. 54 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel with the Rev. J. E. Doan and the Rev. M.K. Forbes in charge. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clarence, Glenn, Richard, Bobby, Ted, and Paul Boyd, all nephews. The body will be removed to the home at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
