Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home. Mr. Bass, a Charlotte native, was owner and operator of W.G. Bass Pump Service and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors are his wife, Meta; son, Bill Bass of Mooresville; brother, David Bass of Shelby; sister, Mrs. Banna Proctor of Miami; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church worthy student fund, 920 N. Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte, N.C. 28211.
