He was born Aug. 17, 1962, in Panama City, to the late Waylon Bruce and Barbara (Carlan) Bass, Sr. He and his family moved to LaBelle in 1969. He graduated from LaBelle High School. He worked with his father as a Watermelon Salesman for many years. He never met a stranger, he was a great guy with a huge heart. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him. He was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Bruce leaves behind his son, Bruce Bass; daughter, Regina Bouchard; brother, Richard Bass and his wife Tammy Kaye; sisters, Cynthia Sanders, Sandra Taylor and her husband Paul, Charlotte Lane; four grandsons; and many extended family members and friends. Celebration of Bruce's life was held at 11 a.m., Jul. 5, 2017, in Akin-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Preston Long officiating. Visitation was one hour before the celebration. Cremation arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home.
