Donald Keith Bass, 87, of New Brockton, AL departed this life Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his home in New Brockton, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Elder Mickey Smith and Elder Scott Sexton officiating.
Committal services will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home & Cremations, LLC on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years - Mary Nell Morrow Bass, New Brockton, AL;
Son - Donald Heflin Bass (Felisa Calderwood), Hammond, LA; Son - Richard Keith Bass (Sharon), Haughton, LA; Son - Ted Bass, Geneva, AL;
Daughter - Brenda Nell Howard (Rick), Enterprise, AL; Daughter - Deborah Gayle Freeman, Blakely, GA; Daughter - Sara Mae McMahan (Rick), New Brockton, AL;
Sister - Iris Miles, New Brockton, AL; Brother - Harold Bass, Enterprise, AL;
Brother - Ronnie Bass, New Hope, AL.; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his Father - James Roscoe Bass, Mother - Lola Mae Bass, Brother - Doyle Bass, and Sister - Dot Barley.
Mr. Bass was a faithful husband, a wonderful father, and grandfather who dearly loved his family.
Mr. Bass was also a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church where he has been a Deacon for 54 years.
Hayes Funeral Home is serving the Bass family.
