Earl R. Bass Jr.
Earl Ray Bass Jr., 88, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Glenwood, to the late Earl Ray Bass and Thelma Sigman (Oakes).
Earl graduated from Hot Springs High School with the Class of '44. He retired after 52 years as a service technician for Earl Gill Enterprises. He was of the Methodist faith, and he was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James D. Bass, and his sister, Martha J. Smith.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Jo Ann Bass; sons, Thomas Craig and (Viktoria) Bass, of Hot Springs and Steven Ray Bass, of Dallas; and two grandchildren, Alan Bass and Alexandra Bass.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. today at Gross Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. David Fleming officiating.
