Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. He was born in Strong, Ark. He was a retired truck driver. He was Pentecostal. SURVIVORS Wife, Bonnie Bass; daughters, Toni Putty, Jeanie Stucks, Julie Hatfred and Debra Richardson, all of Bayfield, Colo.; sons, Samuel Lynn Baumguardner of Notrees and Cecil Bass of Hope, Ark.; and sister, Mamie Faye Bass of Hope, Ark. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 10, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bonnie was born November 14, 1937 to Edgar and Lina Edwards in Brownwood, TX. She attended school in Brownwood, TX. She was married to her first husband, Sam L. Baumguardner for 24 years. After the death of Sam L. Baumguardner, she married Jessie Bass on December 24, 1980. She worked as a dispatcher and with the public for the City of Odessa for 30 years. She was involved in bowling leagues and softball leagues. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husbands, Sam L. Baumguardner and Jessie Bass; her son, Randy Baumguardner. She is survived by her son, Sam Baumguardner and his wife, Kim Baumguardner; her daughter, Debra Richardson and her husband, Steve Joe Richardson; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.   Notes	The Odessa American, Texas, Sunday, November 16, 2008 Jessie Edward Bass ODESSA Jessie Edward Bass II, 41, of Odessa, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born December 5, 1966 in Odessa, Texas. He was the only beloved son of Jessie Edward Bass, Sr. and Anita Benson Jones. Jessie went to Highway Temple Assembly of God Church all of his formative years. He was proud to have served in the United States Navy. He received a Medical Discharge October 20, 1987. He was a disabled veteran. He leaves behind to cherish him memory, his mom Anita L. Jones; his father Jessie Edward Bass, Sr. and Stepmother Bonnie Bass, all of Odessa; three sisters, Toni Bass Putty and husband Kenneth Putty, Jeanie Stucks and husband Chris Stucks, all of Odessa and Julie Hatfield of Cleburne, Texas; step-brothers Sammy and Randy Baumguardner; step-sister Debra Richardson. Jessie left four sons behind, Justin Bass, Joshua Bass, Jessie Bass, III and Jacona Bass; a daughter, Desiree Nicole Bass and his wife of 16 years, Tanya Bass. He also leaves behind four nieces, and five nephews. He was very loved, especially by his sisters, all of whom worshiped him! The apple of his eye was his only grandchild, Gracie Bass. Jessie was a "Man's Man" and has friends all over Odessa. His biggest joy was riding horses, but most of all he enjoyed getting on his Harley and riding. Then there are his childhood friends that are still around today. Five of those men he called his brothers, and those men will be his pallbearers. Those men are, David Sly, Roger McDonald, Rudy Acosta, Gilbert Acosta, Ronnie Lewis and Phillip Murray.
