He died of a heart ailment at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home in Lynnville where he had lived the past two years. Born May 6, 1877, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Dan Bass and Julia Borum Bass. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Griggs Bass; one son, Herman Bass, Detroit, Mich.; and three brothers, Capt. H. H. Bass, Nashville, Oscar Bass, Old Hickory, and Relly Bass, Birmingham, Ala.; and one sister, Mrs. Will Bullington, Donelson. Bennett-May Company, Morticians in charge.
