  Notes	The Oskaloosa Herald, Iowa, Thursday, 8 November 1883 Rose Hill Last Friday morning Mrs. Margaret Bass, aged 80 years, died at the residence of her son Robert. The funeral services were held at the house and were conducted by Rev. Steven Miller, of the Dunkard church, of which she was a member in good standing. Her remains were laid away in the Wymore Cemetery last Saturday. For the past three years she had been making her home with W.M. Bass, but was visiting among the children when sickness and death overtook her. She was sick but a short time. She was a kind and faithful mother, a good neighbor and Christian woman, respected by all who knew her. She has gone to her home in heaven.
