Wray "Papa" is survived by his wife, Barbara Bass, of 54 years; his beloved dog, "Trouble"; a son, Wray Bass Jr. and his wife, Becky; and three daughters, Cindy Whitlock and husband, Landon, Tammy Mondy and husband, Rick, and Teresa Morck. "Papa" had nine grandchildren, Melissa Powell, Amanda Jones, Rachel Whitlock, Brooke Mondy, Heather Mondy, Kaitlyn Bass, Ryan Bass, Erika Morck and Paul Morck Jr. He also had two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Brayden. He worked and retired from Capital Masonry. He touched the lives of everyone he met and would give you the shoes off his feet. He will be missed by all who knew him. Services were held at Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville, Va., on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
