Jimmy ?Boss? Bass (Picture included)

James Sinclair Bass, 68, of Lynchburg, passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born on August 26, 1952, one of seven children to the late Bascomb C. Bass and Ethel Sandridge Bass. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edward Bass, Carroll "Charlie" Bass, David Bass, and Ronnie Bass.
Jimmy was married to the "love of his life," Karen "Sue" Bass for 45 wonderful years. They have three very special kids, Travis Bass (Emily), Tracy Tomlin (Rennie), and Caleb Johnson; four grandchildren, Lexi, Abby, Carson, and Alec; and a bonus daughter, Jami Dunn. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Burns; brother, Michael Bass; two brothers-in-law, Richard Blankenship (Sandra) and Gary Blankenship (Sue); and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Krantz (Russell) and Bonnie Blankenship.
Jimmy retired from Griffin Pipe Products of after 31 years of employment, and was a faithful member to Thomas Road Baptist Church when his health allowed him to be. He loved traveling with his family, especially to the mountains of Tennessee and Myrtle Beach.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers that have taken great care of him, but a special thank you to his nurse, Joanna with Centra Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory and other times at the home of his son, Travis Bass. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service by Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Pastor Rick Rasberry. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
