Virginia Bassett
McCall, Idaho ? Virginia Mae Bassett, 72, of McCall, Idaho, formerly of Central City, died Saturday, March 19, in McCall.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Slot Funeral Home in Central City. Clif Cockburn will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rose hill Cemetery at Albion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bassett was born July 2, 1922, in Belwood to Ira and Gladys Ostrander. She graduated from Belwood High School.
She married Vernon Bassett. She lived in Nebraska where she was a homemaker until 1991 when she moved to McCall.
Survivors include three sons, Bob Myers of Grand Island, Myron Bassett of York and Glen Bassett of McCall; one daughter, Juanita Kelley of Central City; four sisters, Marcella Christensen of York, Betty Smith of Omaha, Rose Dominic of Geneva, and Ella Koliath of Pilger; three brothers, Richard Ostrander and Ira Ostrander Jr., both of York, and Parker Ostrander of Omaha; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one infant daughter.
