Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 18, at Bennett-May Chapel with the Reverend Peter Furnier and the Reverend Michael O'Bannon officiating. Burial was in Giles Memory Garden.A native of Giles County, Mrs. Bass was the daughter of the late William and Hortense Elizabeth Hester Glover and was married to the late Nathan Bass. She was a member of the St. Andrew Memorial Methodist Church.Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elise Bass of Pulaski, Mrs. Virginia Hill of Florence, Alabama, Mrs. Jeanine Merrill of Elkton, Mrs. Helen Walters of Decatur, Alabama; two sons, Julian Bass of Rogersville, Alabama, Dwight Bass of Lester, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hautie Neely of Wayne, Michigan, Mrs. Christine Harrison of Florence, Alabama.
