  Notes	The Hopewell News, Virginia, Friday, 24 December 1946 Mrs. Martha Hayes Final Rites Today Funeral procession for Mrs. Martha Bass Hayes, 74, will leave the Hopewell Funeral Parlor at 2 o?clock today, Thursday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 3 o?clock at Brandon Episcopal Church, Burrowsville, with the Rev. Robert H. Thomas III, pastor, officiating. Interment will be n the church cemetery. Mrs. Hayes, widow of Lorin H. Hayes, died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday in the John Randolph Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Dinwiddie County, she had resided in Burrowsville, Prince George County, during the past twenty years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James E. O?Donnell of Cambridge, Ohio; step-daughter, Mrs. Edna H. Poarch of Stony Creek; step-son, Ralph B. Hayes of Burrowsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Rose of Dinwiddie County, and Mrs. A.C. Baugh of Route 4, Petersburg; two brothers, J.H. and H.J. bass of Stony Creek.
