Mrs. Florence Jenkins Bass, 83, mother of the Nash County Commissioner Chair Ralph I. Bass of Spring Hope, died Wednesday at her home here. Mrs. Bass was the wife of the late J.R. (Bob) Bass and was a member of the Momeyer Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. from Momeyer Baptist Church. Rev. Henry Dollar, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. The body will remain at Johnson Funeral Home in Nashville until 2:30 p.m. Friday when it will be removed to the church. Friends may call at the funeral home or at the home. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leona B. Dickens of Castalia; one son, Ralph I. Bass of Spring Hope; one step-daughter, Mrs. Alma B. Brantley of Momeyer; five grandchildren.
