Mr. Bass, a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County, was a member of Mount Ewell Masonic Lodge, No. 131. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church, Holt, with the Rev. Nix Camden officiating. Interment will follow at Holt Cemetery. Whitehurst Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Florine Wallace, of Andalusia, Ala., and Mrs. Eula Dotson, of Baker; two sons ? Verlin Bass, of Tampa, and Marlin Bass, of Crestview; a sister, Mrs. F.E. Ward, of Crestview; four brothers, J.D. Bass, of Crestview, J.A. Bass, of Holt, John R. Bass and Stacey B. Bass, of Andalusia, Ala., ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
