Cynthia Jane Bass
Cynthia Jane Bass was born Feb. 11, 1832 in Gibson county, Ind., and died at the home of her son, Charles, south of Industry, Kansas, Mar. 10, 1910. She came to Kansas with her family in 1882 and lived here most of the time since. She has been a member of the Baptist church nearly all her life. Her husband preceded her in death 4 years and 1 day. Of her it may be said: She lived her allotted time; her days were full; her age ripe; she was a true loving wife and mother; she has gone but is not forgotten, her call will be ringing out clear to her children to follow her eternal life.
Grandma Bass leaves to mourn her loss, one brother and two sons, living in Indiana; three sons and one daughter living here.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Evangelical church and the remains were laid in the Athelstane cemetery.
