Donald ?Donnie? Wayne Bass
DURHAM: Donald ?Donnie? Wayne Bass, 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home in Durham. He was born in Durham to the late Elwood and Geneva Bass. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bass was also predeceased by his brothers, Johnny Bass, Linwood Bass, and Charles Bass.
Mr. Bass retired from Coca-Cola of Durham after a long career supporting youth sports in Durham and Chapel Hill. He was an avid golfer and always enjoyed watching his grandchildren?s youth and college sporting events.
Mr. Bass is survived by his sons, Donnie R. Bass and wife Sherry, Randy W. Bass; grandchildren, Grant Price and wife McKenzie, Thomas Bass and wife Ashley, Kaitlyn Bass Wilkerson and husband Zack, Cameryn Bass, Kyle Bass; great-grandchildren, Mia, Caleb, Emerson, Brantley; and devoted caregiver, Gloria Gomez.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday April 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Gorman Baptist Church, Family Life Center, 3315 E Geer St, Durham, NC 27704.
