Ruby Lee Love Bass
Mrs. Ruby Lee Love Bass, age 91, of Heidelberg, Mississippi, died on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Mrs. Bass was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to so many. She was a member of Heidelberg Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. J. (Bo) Bass in 2002; two brothers, William C. (Butch) Love and Walker O. (Buddy) Love, Jr.; two sisters, Kathleen Rhodes and Syble Smith; her father, Walker O. Love, Sr. and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Granger Love. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Susan Thead Bass of Heidelberg; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Ann Bass Harris and Hal Harris of Brandon, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Nicholas W. Bass (Heather) of Mobile, Alabama, Tyler S. Harris (Heather) of Nashua, Montana, Brittany H. Davis (Will) of Utica, Mississippi, and Morgan H. Hollis (Ryan) of Madison, Mississippi; two great-grandchildren, Winnie E. Bass and John W. Bass of Mobile, Alabama; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held September 13, 2017, at Heidelberg Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with Brother Bill Boulton officiating and interment at Heidelberg Cemetery. Visitation will precede funeral service at Heidelberg Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Pallbearers are Nicholas Bass, Tyler Harris, Will Davis, Ryan Hollis, Larry McKinnon, Mickey McKinnon, Mike Morgan, and Ben Belding. Memory Chapel of Laurel is in charge of the arrangements.
