Bass, 64, of 715 Murray Street, who died yesterday at Watts Hospital. The Reverend B.E. Morris officiated, and interment was in the new section of Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.C. Whitfield, Earl Godfrey, Sidney Godfrey, Claude Thompson, E.D. Evans and T.C. Leary. She is survived by her husband, N.B. (Nick) Bass; two sons, L.M. Bass of Durham, and E.O. Bass of Baltimore, Maryland; two daughters, Mrs. M.T. Elmore of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Talmadge Long of Durham; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Shambley of Durham; seven grandchildren; and three grandchildren.
