Bass Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Sunday morning at Bethel Church for Mr. C.F. Bass who passed away at his home near Milner early Saturday morning. The Reverend Cauthen and the Reverend Osborne conducted the services. Interement was in the church yard. Mr. Bass was 69 years of age. He had been in ill health for some time. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Bass; one daughter, Mrs. Nettie Henderson; one son, Homer F. Bass; three grandsons, Cary Joe Evans, and James Bass; three sisters, Mrs. Mallie Watson of Atlanta, Mrs. Bell Page of Albany, and Mrs. Beth Swan of Cuthbert; and one brother, William Bass of Shellman.
