July 15, 1994. She was born June 24, 1909 to William Lewis Evans and Sarah Hamen Evans in Newport, OR. Mrs. Bass had been a resident of Whatcom County for five years, prior to that lived in Kent, WA for 29 years and in Portland, OR where she was raised. Josephine was a member of the Maple Leaf Chapter #58, O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry G. Bass, Sr. in Dec. 1990. Survived by daughter Patricia and Wallace Little, Ferndale; Sons Henry G. Jr. and Aretta Bass, Kent; Albert P. and Kathy Bass, Phoenix, AZ, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson. Sister Francis Pelley, Stockton, CA. Memorial service will be Wed. July 20, 3:00 pm at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel.
