Jessie E. Semerteen Bass, 76
NEWARK ? Jessie Semerteen Bass of Newark died of heart failure Monday, June 5, 1995, in Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 76.
Mrs. Bass was born in Wilmington and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a housewife.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of New Castle.
Mrs. Bass is prece3ded in death by her husband, Irwin Bass Sr., in April 1988.
She is survived by one son, Irwin Bass Jr. of Viola; three daughters, Ellen Louise Keeler and Dorothy jane Maxwell, both of Wilmington, and Carolina L. Berty of Conway, Ark.; two sisters, Bella Beatson of Wilmington and Mildred Trader of New Castle; nine grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle, where friends may call one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington.
