Jacob Woodburn Bass
Jacob Woodburn Bass, 77, of Niceville, Florida, passed away December 14, 2010.Jacob was born in Halifax, Virginia, on November 18, 1933, to the late William and Adele Bass. Jacob served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He used the G.I. bill to become an electronic technician. He also worked for the "Defense Contractor" for 14 years and 35 years with the "Telephone Company." Jacob was a member of the First Baptist Church of Niceville since 1960, serving as a deacon, Boy Scout Institutional representative, audio/visual tech, building committee member, and air conditioning and heat tech.Jacob is survived by his wife, Maedell Bass; son, Michael Bass and wife Ann; daughter, Sherry Bass; grandchildren, Katina, Nathan and Michaela; brothers, William M. Bass II and Walter H. Bass III; and sisters, Anne Burke and Jewelle Rosser.A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Niceville.
