Sallie Sydnor Kirby Bass
BASS Sallie Sydnor Kirby Bass, of Richmond, widow of Thomas A. Bass Sr., a retired Henrico County school teacher, died Monday, August 14, 2000. Survived by her son, Thomas A. (Tab) Bass Jr. and his wife, Susan H. Bass of Richmond; her daughter, Carolyn B. Armentrout and her husband, Albert S. Armentrout of Wytheville, Va.; five grandchildren, Jeffrey T. Bass, Katherine A. Deck, Alison H. Bass, Kirby Armentrout and Christine E. Bass; one stepgrandson, Benjamin Armstrong. Mrs. Bass graduated from Flora Macdonald College. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, a life member of Presbyterian Women, a member of Hermitage Woman's Club and an elder of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Remains rest at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
