John Bass
HAZLEHURST ? Funeral services for John Edmond Bass, 77, of Hazlehurst who died in a local hospital Thursday following an extended illness, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home.
The Rev. John Lewis and the Rev. Frank Meeks will officiate, with burial in the city cemetery.
Mr. Bass had lived in Hazlehurst for six years, and was a native of Greensboro. He had spent most of his life in Telfair County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amanda Bass of Hazlehurst, three daughters, Miss Emmie bass, Mrs. Nellie Brewer and Mrs. Eva Mae Oliver, all of Hazlehurst; and a son, Robert Bass of Hazlehurst.
