Jesse Lee Bass
Rocky Mount - Jesse Lee Bass, 71, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 17, 2008, with his family by his side. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, in the Bass Family Cemetery with the Reverend Jack Givens officiating. He is survived by four daughters, Jessica Bass Brewer and husband, James, of Rocky Mount, Angela Bass Hill and husband, Jimmie, of Columbia, South Carolina, Sonja Bass Mayer and husband, Tom, of New Bern, and Twinkle Bass York of Rocky Mount; two sons, Gregory Scott Bass and Eric Randolph Bass, both of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Carl Bass and Mallie Bass, both of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren, Christina Bass Pittman, Christopher Bass, Brandon Eric Bass, Stormy Gayle Lilley, Victoria Irene Mayer, Trevor Marcus Leonard, James Luke Brewer, Shelby Ann Mayer, and Julieanne Jessica Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Casey Bass, Joshua Pittman and Abigail Pittman. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home in Kenly.
